RECIPES USING FULL FLAVOR FOODS GRAVY MIXES
HUNGRY MAN'S BEEF STEW
Microwave one large diced Onion, 1 cup sliced Mushrooms, and 1 cup (1/4 inch cut) small Carrots for 1
and 1/2 minutes in a covered bowl until tender. Make up 2 packages of FFF Beef Gravy Mix according to
directions on the package and add the vegetables. Add 8-10 ounces of cooked ground beef drained of fat.
Serve over gluten-free Noodles, Rice, Bread, Biscuits, or Potatoes. Other vegetables like corn, peas, green
onions, tomatoes, potatoes, Lima beans,etc may be used. Thyme, basil, minced parsley, tarragon may be
added according to taste and diet.
COMMON MAN'S BEEF BORDELAISE
Mix 2 package Beef Gravy Mix with 2 cups Water and 1/4 cup Red Wine or Pale Dry Cocktail Sherry. Bring to
a boil over medium heat stirring constantly. Add 8-10 ounces cooked ground Beef (drained of fat), 1 cup
chopped Green Onions and 2 cups sliced Mushrooms. Serve over gluten-free bread, pasta, rice or
potatoes.
BEEF STROGANOFF
Use the above recipe for Common Man's Beef Bordelaise and add 8 oz. Sour Cream or Yogurt, or heavy
Non-Dairy Sour Cream/Yogurt substitute and 1/4 teaspoon dried Dill. Mix well and serve over gluten-free
pasta, rice, bread or potatoes.
PORK WINE SAUCE
Bring 2 packages Pork Gravy Mix, 2 cups Water, 1/2 cups White Wine, and 1/4 cups Green Onions,
(chopped) to a boil while stirring constantly as sauce thickens. CHERRY PORK WINE SAUCE is made by
adding 1/4 cup Dried Cherries and simmering sauce for 3-5 minutes while stirring. Serve these sauces
with pork roasts or chops.
SAUSAGE GRAVY
Add 2 packages Pork Gravy Mix to 1 and 1/2 cups Water and 1 tablespoon Black Pepper. Bring to a boil
and stir constantly as gravy thickens. Add 1 and 1/2 cups cooked and crumbled Breakfast Sausage that
has been drained of fat plus 1 cup Half and Half or Milk or Soy Milk or Rice Milk or other Milk Substitute.
Serve over hash browns, mashed potatoes, rice, millet, or gluten-free bread or biscuits.
CHICKEN ALA STEW
Have ready 8-10 ounces of cooked Chicken Meat diced to the desired size. Microwave 2 cups assorted
frozen Vegetables to the desired crispness. Drain and add any Vegetable Liquid to Water to make 2 and
1/2 cups. Add the 2 and 1/2 cups liquid to 2 packages of FFF Chicken Gravy Mix. Bring to a boil over
medium heat stirring constantly. Simmer and add the Vegetables and Chicken. Serve with potatoes or
gluten-free bread, rice, or pasta.
CHICKEN FLORENTINE SAUCE
2 pouches FFF Chicken Gravy, prepared according to directions
¼ C. Pale Dry Cocktail Sherry
10 oz Frozen Chopped Spinach
Pinch Nutmeg
¼ tsp. Ground pepper.
In a medium size pot, combine chicken gravy mix, dry sherry and water. Bring to a boil stirring constantly.
Add chopped spinach and seasonings. Reduce heat and simmer 2-3 min. Serve over GF Pasta, Chicken
Breasts or Rice. Makes about 4/8 oz. servings.
CHICKEN VEGETABLE CASSEROLE
1 Pouch FFF Chicken Gravy Mix, prepared according to directions
1 lb. Chicken Breast, Cubed & Skinless
4 Tbsp. Cooking Oil
2C. Hash Browns, Frozen & Uncooked
1 C. Onion, Diced
2 C. Celery, Diced
1 Clove Garlic, Minced
½ C. Mayonnaise
½ C. Parmesan or Cheddar Cheese, Non Dairy (or Regular)
Sauté Chicken, Onions, Celery and garlic in cooking oil. Remove from heat. Stir in hash browns and
prepared chicken gravy.
Stir in Mayonnaise. Spread mixture evenly in a casserole dish. Bake at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes.
Sprinkle top with cheese. Return to oven for about 10 min. Serve hot.
Turkey Wild Rice Soup
Prepare one package FFF Turkey Gravy Mix per directions. Add 2 and 1/2 cups of water plus 1/2 cup each
of small diced carrots and chopped onion. Bring to a boil while stirring and let the soup simmer until
thickened. Add 1 cup each of cooked wild rice blend and cooked chopped turkey meat. Serve hot.
TIPS
These FFF Gravy Mix recipes may be frozen then reheated for future use. Vary the amount of liquid used in
the recipe to obtain the desired thickness and creaminess.
